A Simple Example -
Illustration above shows to User screens with similar UI designs, but one is said to have a good UX design than other.
If I simply look at them both are attractive.
But, when as a user I interact with them i feel the difference ...
The left device screen provides no information about the process progress , so if some process takes a long time a user may abort it (having no idea of the actual amount of process completed).
*This may be a good UX for tasks taking very short period of time
The right device screen provides information about the process progress (percentage), so the user has complete information about the amount for process completed.
Conclusion -
UI and UX design are two different terms which when implemented together provide a good looking , functional and user-friendly interfaced application.
